Introduction

This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the Terms of Service of the Website www.roango.com. By accepting the Terms of Service, the User confirms that he/she read, understood, and agreed with this Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy regulates the collection, storage, and use of personal data of Users of the Website and Visitors. 

All terms written in this Privacy Policy by using capital letters shall have the meaning as defined in the Terms of Service.

The protection of the User's personal data is one of Roango's priorities. Any personal data processing is carried out responsibly, in good faith, and in accordance with the REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation; hereinafter referred to as the GDPR).

At Roango, we are committed to the data protection of our website's Visitors and Users. We do gather some personal information to improve our website, to understand our visitors and their behavior better. At Roango, we have two options to browse our Website - the Visitor and User option. 

Visitor

With access to the Website, the use of content and services which the Website provides, and with the submission of information, the Visitor consents to the collection, storage, and use of personal data in accordance with the conditions specified in this Privacy Policy.

We recommend the Visitor not to use our Website if he/she disagrees with our Privacy Policy and does not wish to become a registered User.

User

The User expresses his/her agreement to the processing of his/her personal data for the stated purpose based on the Terms of Service by entering personal data during and after the registration on the Website. The User is responsible for the accuracy and the correctness of the entered information.

The User has the right to terminate the agreement at any time and request the termination of further processing of his personal data. The User's right does not include processing such data for statistical and analytical purposes when the aforementioned data does not enable the identification of the User to which they are connected or belong.

We collect Visitor's data when Visitor is using the Website and browsing content on the Website.

We will not collect and process personal data whose collection is prohibited by law, like data relating to ethnic origin, racial origin, political viewpoints, religious beliefs, and other data the collection of which the law prohibits explicitly, except under the law specified conditions and situations.

The Purpose for Which the Data Is Collected

Visitor

If the Visitors subscribe to the Roango Website Newsletter, they will receive the general newsletter without profiled content specifically for their own purposes. 

User

At Roango, we collect User information for the sole purpose of carrying out activities that are relevant to the recruitment process for Talent and for Companies. The collected data can be used for further development and improvement of the Website. 

The User will be offered to create his/her own preferences regarding the company culture in order to find its matching company from the company culture standing point. 

The data that Talents have entered during the registration and while creating and editing their profile on the Website shall only be accessible to other registered Company Users, who gained access to this data by registering on the Website and have required permissions to access the data. Talent data will be used only by registered Company Users and only for purposes of finding appropriate employees/associates.

Disclosure of Personal Data

Roango will not transmit any personal data to third parties except in the manner specified in the Policy. Any transfer to third parties must comply with the regulations of the Policy, and third parties are bound to comply with the regulations of the Policy regarding data handling. 

Talent and Company User personal data may be transferred to affiliates, third parties that Roango contracts to carry out certain activities or provide certain services and in the case of ownership, organizational, and status changes regarding Roango, as well as when such an obligation is particularly specified by law. We provide a limited amount of your information (e.g., sending newsletters you subscribed to or handling your inquiries via email/ticket).

Storing Personal Data

Roango approaches the storing of personal data conscientiously and with all due care, taking the utmost effort that the data are adequately protected from any form of accidental or deliberate abuse, destruction, loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

Personal data transmission takes place via the internet and is, in spite of all efforts, never truly secure, consequently, Roango can not guarantee the absolute safety of such a transfer, and the Talent, Company User, and Visitor perform it at their own risk. After receiving the information from the Talent, Company User, and Visitor,  Roango will take all necessary measures in order to prevent any misuse of the data.

Personal data can be transferred and stored outside of the Republic of Croatia in countries that provide adequate protection of personal data, as well as in countries located outside of the European Union in which the protection of personal data is possibly not regulated in accordance with the relevant EU legislation and does not provide the adequate level of protection in accordance to relevant EU legislation. By submitting their personal information, the Talent, Company User, and Visitor agree to the previously described transmission, storage, and use of data.

Data Security

All customer data is stored on dedicated, redundant private servers guarded by physical access controls, network policies, least-privileged role-based access control methods, intrusion prevention, and intrusion detection systems.

Right to Access and Change Information

At Roango, Talent is able to access and update his/her profile at any time, and Company Users with the appropriate authority have the ability to update the profile at any time. All Users of the Company, team members can access Roango at any time. Besides that, Talent, Company User, and Visitor who wishes to exercise the aforementioned right may contact Roango by reaching support for help by sending an email to the address [email protected] and strictly privacy-related inquiries by emailing an email to the address [email protected].

Data Deletion

Your personal information will be deleted in one of the following circumstances:

• deletion of your personal information by you, the Talent or Company User
• where you are a Talent, you can submit a request in writing to us for deletion of your personal information on email address [email protected] 

If you are a Talent, any request by you to us to delete your personal information will not result in the deletion of any application submitted by you to a Company, in respect of which we are a data processor and not a data controller. If you require a Company to delete an application, or any other information provided by you to the Company directly, you must contact the Company to request such deletion.

Data Portability

The Users are authorized to ask Roango to transfer the received data to another controller in accordance with the Art. 20 of the GDPR. For data portability exercising, please contact [email protected].

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Roango reserves the right to modify the Privacy Policy at any time. Any modification of the Privacy Policy will be published on this Website, and any User that wishes to use the contents and services provided by this Website will be obliged to accept any modification of the Policy.
